A major influence for this piece was the work of Paul Lasaine; most notably his water studies created for the animated film Surf's Up (as seen here). I am truly inspired by his work and hope to be awesome like him some day.
Although there are definite flaws with the final work, I am proud of the style the characters took on, as well as the humorous twist to a traditional tale . I learned a ton technique-wise and can't wait to put it all into practice. Who knows, perhaps there will be a whole illustrated series of mother goose rhymes in my future...perhaps.

I love it! Those brushed water effects came out really nice!
Thanks Jason!
I like it :) my only critique is the background seems really empty. Maybe some clouds or stars sorta blurred out would help fill it
Thanks Larry! I tried stars a while back; when they were tiny they weren't distinctive enough from the water and when they were bigger they were a distraction- even blurred. I do agree that there is a big void back there, though the flatness was a non issue to me because the characters are very graphic and lack proper depth. Clouds are a great suggestion, I will try that out soon (I hope).
Its great darling ,Dont change a thing!
